The image of the Cyclades is actually quite old, and I was particularly interested in the stairs as part of my series stairs. While I was painting the picture, the Greek crisis was getting stronger, so I wanted to write already: Greece, still intact. For there shall arise another a second image of the same subject, where everything becomes blurred, almost seems to crumble
